In the Face of History

from Confluence 1 by The Id

/

lyrics

Within the details of our own life
It doesn’t seem that short
But I do learn
I’m watching every day (This line doesn’t make sense here, needs a re-write)

In the Face of History
We lack the ability
To see our state of fragility
Knowing our place in the universe
We have been humbled
I guess it’s just our own curse (This line was a bit awkward to sing and phrase)

Within the details of our own life
It doesn’t seem that short
But I do learn
A kind of melancholy enlightenment
And I’m addicted to learn more
Watching the tube
I’m watching every day

In the Face of History
We lack the ability
To see our state of fragility
Knowing our place in the universe
We have been humbled
I guess it’s just our curse (Perhaps phrasing is better here)

Locked in the details of our own life (Fade and repeat)
